Privacy Policy

Guruji is a free learning app. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we never do with it. If anything here is unclear, email us, the address is at the bottom.

What Guruji is

Guruji is a free app for learning to use AI tools well and learning to code. You can use the whole thing without an account. It works on the web and installs to your phone like an app.

Information we collect

Account information (optional). Creating an account is optional. If you choose to create one, we collect an email address and a password, handled by our authentication provider, Supabase. We never see or store your password in plain text. An account exists only to sync your progress across your own devices.

Learning progress. If you create an account, we store your lesson progress: which lessons you have completed, your streak, and your experience points. That is the only data tied to an account. We do not collect your name, location, or any other personal profile information.

Analytics and usage data. We use two lightweight, privacy-conscious analytics tools on the web app and this marketing site:

• Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymized session behavior (clicks, scrolling, page views) to help us fix confusing screens. Clarity masks personal information by default, and we never unmask it.
• A first-party, anonymous usage counter we built ourselves, which counts page visits per site. It does not use cookies for tracking and does not identify individual people.

Neither of these tools is used to build an advertising profile of you, because we do not run ads and never will.

How we use information

We use the data above for exactly two things: making your progress sync across your devices if you choose an account, and understanding which parts of the app are confusing or broken so we can fix them. That is the whole list.

What we never do

• We do not run ads, and we do not track you for advertising purposes.
• We do not sell your data to anyone, ever, for any reason.
• We do not share your data with third parties except the infrastructure providers named above (Supabase for accounts, Microsoft Clarity and our own first-party counter for analytics), and only to the extent needed to run the app.

Your choices

You can use Guruji fully without ever creating an account, in which case your progress stays only on your own device and we collect no account data about you at all. If you have an account and want it and its data deleted, email us and we will delete it.

Children's privacy

Guruji is built to be useful for a whole family, including teenagers, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect account information from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date above. Nothing here changes without a real reason, and we will never quietly start doing something this page says we don't do.
